Acknowledgments

Falconers, led by Tom J. Cade, made peregrine restoration feasible by providing the expert knowledge needed for captive breeding and hacking of their favorite birds. A small army of peregrine admirers, numbering in the hundreds in the Midwest and in the thousands across the continent, did the releases, paid the bills, and kept track of the new population. We thank these people, far too many to name individually, for the success of this unprecedented project. Only a remarkably charismatic bird could have inspired such an effort!
